Beginning with two employees in 1956, Stuart Services has grown its staff, services and customer base to become the leading service and repair provider in the greater New Orleans and Northshore areas dedicated to solving all your plumbing, electrical and heating needs.
Carl G. Stuart and his assistant started the business, originally named Stuart Electric, by installing circuits for window air conditioning units that customers purchased from major appliance stores. After a few years and extensive word-of-mouth advertising, Stuart Electric obtained exclusive contracts from local companies such as Comeaux's and Levine's.
Because of their quality service, they were recommended to other companies like Universal Furniture, Carrollton Refrigeration, Campo Appliances, Kirschman’s, Schwegamann’s and Maison Blanche, who enlisted their electrical expertise. By 1964, Stuart Electric had grown to a 10-man operation and moved to 724 Little Farms Avenue in River Ridge.
In 1990, Carl began searching for potential buyers for his business, and began negotiations to transfer ownership of the company with Jude G. Raspino, Jr., in 1991. On April 22, 1991, the papers were signed and the deal became final. Since that day, Jude and his team have worked hard to turn Stuart Electric – now Stuart Services – into a major force in the service and repair business.
In 1998, Stuart Services moved to its current location at 4724 Utica Street in Metairie. Their team has grown to 27, with a business plan aimed at 100 employees. Every year, Stuart Services sets new goals to improve the business for both customers and employees. We now offer plumbing, air conditioning and heating services in addition to our electrical services division.
With our eyes on the future, Jude and his team continue to improve the business while serving the people of New Orleans with courtesy and professionalism.
